Avoid This To Keep Your Thyroid Healthy

Our first installment is not about pilates (directly), but about getting the most out of your studio sessions by implementing good lifestyle habits outside the gym, including eating well and avoiding certain environmental toxins. I recently came across an article that immediately struck home because of its focus on the body's great regulator - the thyroid (more on my story later).

Dr. Joseph Mercola, a highly qualified doctor of osteopathic medicine and author of the article (linked below) calls out one specific toxin we should all avoid in an effort to maintain good thyroid health and provides some simple lifestyle habits we can all implement to bring our bodies back to the way they were intended to be. Because there are literally thousands of diet plans and food guides out there, I want to invite you to throw your diet down the disposal and focus on a lifetime of sound nutrition.

Enjoy! Or, should I say, bon a patit!

Avoid This If You Want To Keep Your Thyroid Healthy

Welcome

First off, welcome to the new Inner Focus Pilates (IFP) blog! So glad you are here!

In short, the goal of this blog, as well as our cause at the IFP studio is to lead you back to your true body. We approach this through focused STOTT Pilates® sessions in our studio, and a blog soon-to-be full of advice for better health, news and events, notes on daily life and other fun things we come across to break up the day. Our first post is not about pilates (directly), but about one of the most important lifestyle habits that literally hits you in the face when you walk out of the studio. Stay tuned!
